NOTICE: Nominations for Union Office – November 3rd, 2023, at Monthly Meeting 11:45am
Sisters and Brothers of Local 81359, ALL Union offices will be up for election in December. Please start thinking about the offices and responsibilities of the jobs below. If interested please reach out t0 any E-board member about duties, roles and responsibilities or read about in the 81359 Local constitution and bylaws book (in hard copy or on our website) .
President Candidate (3year term and automatic delegate to Conventions per bylaws)
Duties include oversight of membership, CBA, financials, health and well being of members of Local 359, negotiations of CBA, upholding Const. / bylaws and oversite of all Union Activities that are involving the best interest of the membership, IUE-CWA and CWA.
Vice-President Candidate (3year term and automatic delegate to Conventions per bylaws)
Duties include Health and Safety and Job Posting and movement/assist. Pres.
Secretary-Treasurer Candidate (3year term and automatic delegate to Conventions per bylaws)
Duties include detailed financial recording of dues, bank accounts, bills and oversite of expense reports / charges, documenting meeting minutes, financials of HQ LLC. /assist. Pres.
Chief Shop Steward Candidate (3year term)
Duties include Uphold CBA, Local Agreement, Grievance processing /assist. Pres.
Trustee (3) Candidate (3year term with top 3 voted in by total number of votes casted)
Duties include financial audits, assigned committees, assist Pres.
Elections will be held Dec. 5th from 5am -12 Noon and Dec. 6th from 5am -5pm at HQ, across the street from the plant 301 Hudson River Road, Waterford N.Y. 12188. Top 3 votes casted for Trustees. Elections will be run by the Election Committee. Any run-off elections will take place Jan. 2nd from 5am -12 Noon and Jan 3rd, 2024, from 5am -5pm same location. Shop Steward Elections to take place Dec 2023. Election Committee (note: Pres. / V.P. / Sec.tr. / Chief Steward must win by 50.001 % or face run off elect
